Bilingual Community Programs Director (Spanish required) – Tualatin Hills Nature Center
Do you have a passion for nature, education, being outdoors and working with community members? The Tualatin Hills Nature Center is seeking a team-oriented, nature enthusiast to create quality community engagement and educational experiences for youth in the Beaverton area. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to work in the community inspiring youth and teens to connect with nature. This is a year-round position working with our Nature Mobile community engagement program, focusing on youth engagement and community partnerships. Environmental education experience is preferred, but not required for this position.
Job Opening:
The Bilingual Community Programs Director - Spanish (Recreation Specialist I) is responsible for developing and implementing assigned nature programs. This role involves working independently within established guidelines to develop, coordinate, supervise, and instruct the day-to-day activities of assigned nature program areas, while providing lead direction to assigned part-time staff and volunteers.
Pay Rate Range: $21.12 - $23.77 hourly

Eligibility Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
- Must enjoy working with kids and be willing to work outdoors, rain or shine.
- Bilingual Spanish (conversational or fluent)
Scheduling
- Part-time, year-round position with an average of 29 hours per week in the summer and 20 hours per week during the fall, winter, and spring.
- Hours are variable and based on programs and may include some nights or weekends.
- Position could start as soon as March 1.
- Staff may be given the opportunity to work multiple positions within the same classification.
- Part-time employees are scheduled variable hours and may work less than 1,560 hours per year
