Environmental Education Director and Instructor – Tualatin Hills Nature Center
Are you passionate about nature and excited to work outdoors with kids? The Tualatin Hills Nature Center looking for team-oriented and safety-conscious education staff to create and facilitate quality spring nature programs and summer nature camp experiences for youth in the Beaverton area. This is a fantastic employment opportunity for individuals looking to improve their leadership skills in an informal environmental education setting.
Environmental Education Instructor is responsible for planning, preparing, instructing, and/or leading general and/or specialized activities for nature program participants. Activities include but are not limited to leading group games, nature activities, arts & crafts, and guided group hikes.
Pay Rate Range: $18.22 - $19.93
Environmental Education Director is responsible for the development and implementation of assigned nature programs. Incumbents in this job classification work independently, within established guidelines, to develop, coordinate, supervise, and instruct the day-to-day activities of assigned nature program areas and provide lead direction to assigned part-time staff and volunteers.
Pay Rate Range: $20.51 -$23.08

We are hiring for spring and summer positions. Positions available to start from mid-March through early June. Spring hours are variable and based on programs. Summer hours are typically Monday – Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, and will be scheduled between the weeks of June 10 through August 30. We are hiring for both year-round and seasonal positions. Part-time employees are scheduled variable hours and may work less than 1,560 hours per year. Seasonal employees may be scheduled 40 hours per week for a maximum duration of 6 months. Staff may be given the opportunity to work multiple positions within the same classification.
Licenses, Certificates, and Other Requirements- Current First Aid and CPR/First Aid and CPR/AED certifications for infants, children, and adults.
- Bilingual skills preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older, if driving.
- May be required to maintain a valid Oregon Driver's License and good driving record.
