Office Assistant (Part-time)
Join the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD) team as an Office Assistant and demonstrate your excellent customer service skills! We’re currently looking for a dedicated and self-motivated individual who is committed to delivering exceptional customer experience at our Administration office working in the Human Resources Division.
Successful candidates will have knowledge and experience in office management principles and applying this knowledge to work problems while creating a welcoming and inclusive environment. Candidates will also have a basic understanding of applicable software and computer operations; specifically, Office 365 platforms including Word, Excel, and Teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer telephone calls/emails, directing questions to the appropriate personnel, and accurately taking messages when needed.
- Provide general clerical support such as data entry, filing, preparing and proofreading forms, and letters.
- Provide general support for ongoing projects.

Scheduling
Tentative hours and shift availability: Monday – Friday 9 am to 1 pm
Part-time employees are scheduled flexible hours and may work less than 1,560 hours per yearJob Classification Status
This is a part-time benefits eligible position.
- Part-time benefits (PTB) eligible employees work an average of 20 hours per week but, less than 30 hours, on a year-round basis and are eligible to enroll in a benefits package. To learn more about the part-time classifications THPRD offers, see Part-Time Classifications.
Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that would likely provide the applicant with the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Experience:
- One-year general clerical experience, including public contact
Education/Training:
- Specialized clerical training.
