Body Shop Technician Trainee

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shop Technician Trainee to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various mechanical and fabrication tasks, including welding and automotive basic automotive knowledge. This role requires a good work ethic.

Duties

• Perform auto glass installations and repairs with attention to detail.
• Fabricate components as needed for repairs or custom projects.
• Utilize welding techniques to join metal parts securely.
• Conduct airless paint spraying for finishing touches on automotive surfaces.
• Assist in auto body repair tasks, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
• Work with sheet metal to create or repair parts as necessary.
• Collaborate with mechanics and other technicians to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in fabricating, soldering, and welding techniques is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with dealership operations or previous mechanic experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing technologies within the shop environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

• Automotive repair: 1 year (Preferred)
