We are seeking a self-starter to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk Tube Wright Inc. is a world-class manufacturing company focused on providing quality tubing and cooling assemblies. We make parts that keep your ATV cool, make your SUV cooler, and keep the world’s supply chain running smoothly.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all shipping duties and working closely with the Production Planner and Assistant Plant Manager to ensure all products are shipped on time and accurately. Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinating truck driver duties.
- Creating bills of lading (BOLs).
- Generating shipper request forms.
- Maintaining accurate outgoing inventory logs.
- Entering item receipts.
- Accepting and signing for deliveries from carriers.
- Assisting in unloading and loading shipments from delivery trucks.
- Ensuring inventory is labeled correctly.
- Labeling, sorting, and banding all outgoing shipments.
- Scheduling customer trucks and coordinating with customer representatives.
- Shipping products after final dock audit.
- Using dollies, forklifts, and other shipping equipment to transport materials from the loading dock and around the shop.
- Notifying the Quality Department of any quality issues that arise.
- Complying with our quality procedures.
- Completing any other responsibilities deemed appropriate by the Production Planner.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of two years of shipping and receiving experience in automotive or a similar manufacturing field.
- Internal auditing experience (preferred but not required).
- Knowledge of advance shipping notices and bills of lading.
- Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel (required).
- Plex experience (preferred but not required).
- Ability to drive a forklift (required).
- Ability to adhere to all safety guidelines (written and verbal).
- Great personality, with strong professionalism, teamwork, and customer/vendor interaction skills.
Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, and kneeling all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
