Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment, with a strong focus on electrical systems
- Communicate with equipment service departments over the phone to resolve technical issues
- Send and respond to emails professionally regarding maintenance updates and vendor coordination
- Maintain a clean, organized maintenance room including tools, parts, and documentation
- Perform basic warehouse maintenance including:
- Greasing dock doors
- Repairing/replacing exhaust fans
- Changing light bulbs
- Fixing warehouse pallet racking
- Etc
- Coordinate repairs with outside vendors (e.g., roofers, electricians, plumbers, dock leveler techs)
- Follow company policy: no personal tools allowed on site. All tools and equipment will be provided by Tucker Door and Trim
- Take initiative to learn and improve on the job—this role requires problem-solving
- Understanding of pneumatic systems is a plus
- Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment, especially electrical systems
- Comfortable working with vendors and service techs over the phone
- Clear and professional written communication, especially via email
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with paperwork, tools, and inventory
- Self-starter with a proactive attitude—able to take ownership of maintenance issues
- Willingness to handle a wide variety of facility maintenance tasks
- Knowledge of pneumatic cylinders is a bonus
