What are the responsibilities and job description for the Load Securement Specialist position at Tucker Freight Lines?
The Load Securement Specialist is responsible for properly securing shipments by means of strapping, poly, tarping, and bungees loads safely and efficiently.
- Properly secure freight on trailers for safe and effective spotting and loading operations.
- Work closely with site and shift supervisor for securement compliance.
- Maintain communication with coworkers and management to create a safe and positive working environment.
- Promptly report safety and efficiency concerns to the site or shift supervisor.
- Practice safety at all times. Actively participate in daily safety briefings.
- Always follow Sustainable Yard Management rules and regulations.
- Assist with inventory of securement and inspect completed loads before departure.
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a self-starter and have a positive, “can-do” attitude.
- Must have a strong work ethic with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Frequent climbing, bending, lifting, and twisting.
- Must be able to perform occasional heavy lifting. Lifting various objects overhead up to a maximum of 75 pounds.
First, second, & third shift available
