Location : San Rafael, CA - Hybrid (2 days on-site, 3 days remote)
6-month assignment (potential to extend / convert)
Pay : $60-64 / HR
Our client, a leading global biotech company dedicated to delivering innovative therapeutics for patients with serious and life-threatening rare genetic diseases, is seeking a Scientist, Biomarker Strategy to join their team.
This role will support the Biomarker Strategy Lead Scientist across multiple programs. The ideal candidate will contribute to research strategies in nonclinical and clinical settings, driving biomarker discovery and implementation in clinical trials.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in the design and execution of innovative biomarker discovery and development strategies.
- Identify and evaluate clinically relevant biomarkers to facilitate patient identification, assess pharmacodynamics, and characterize treatment effects on pathobiology.
- Collaborate with external clinical experts to establish research partnerships and consult on clinical trial biomarkers and endpoints.
- Work with internal and external technical experts to conduct biomarker experiments, analyze data, and interpret results.
- Utilize large-scale genetic, genomic, phenotypic, and molecular data to support biomarker identification.
- Partner with research and clinical scientists to implement sample collection and analysis in clinical studies.
- Oversee validation and execution of clinically applicable biomarker assays in collaboration with internal scientists and contract organizations.
- Generate research reports and present findings to internal research, translational, and clinical teams.
