Imaging Applications Analyst II
Location: Los Angles Metropolitan Area (100% On-Site)
Institution: Renowned Private University – Medical Enterprise
Compensation: $50-55/hour (FTE)
Position Overview:
The Imaging Applications Analyst II is responsible for the design, implementation, validation, and support of multiple imaging applications, including RIS, Radiology PACS, Cardiology PACS, Voice Dictation, Advanced Post Processing, RadOnc EMR, EKG/EEG, and GI systems. This role ensures seamless configuration, integration, and user experience while aligning with clinical and business objectives. The Analyst works closely with clinicians, staff, and vendors to troubleshoot, implement upgrades, and support new system integrations.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, configure, validate, upgrade, and support enterprise-wide clinical imaging applications.
- Provide on-call support, diagnose issues, and implement solutions independently.
- Work on assigned projects both individually and within a team.
- Lead system implementations, upgrades, and conversions for imaging applications.
- Ensure system stability and functionality while maintaining compliance with organizational policies.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and provide high-level troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with IT teams and clinical staff to optimize imaging workflows.
- Support HL7 integration between Cerner EMR and imaging applications, ensuring data integrity.
- Provide after-hours/weekend support for 24/7 system availability when necessary.
- Develop training plans, materials, and conduct training for faculty, staff, and students.
- Maintain expertise in imaging workflows and collaborate with clinicians to improve system performance.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Science, Financials, Business, or related field OR equivalent work experience.
Experience & Skills:
- 3 years in clinical imaging applications (e.g., Cerner RadNet, Fuji PACS/CV, PowerScribe 360, Varian Aria, Natus Xltek, Provation).
- Required: Microsoft Nuance experience.
- Preferred: Imaging AI, MSFT Nuance PIN (Precision Imaging Network), and FUM (Follow-Up Manager).
- Proficiency in DICOM, HL7, and IHE integration.
- Knowledge of Imaging Modalities (XR, US, MRI, CT, Nuclear, Mammo, EKG).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate technical solutions in business terms.
