Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting multiple Independent retail pharmacies in processes and inventory. Your primary goal is to increase efficiency and profitability. This will be achieved mostly by phone and computer. However, some travel is required. No overnights! These are day trips to other Pharmacies that are within 2 hours of Fairview. Most of your time will be at Tucker Pharmacy in Fairview. If you are great with work flow, organization, inventory, and teaching then this is the job for you. This is a management position. The hours are flexible with no weekends. You will report to the owner of the company.
Responsibilities
- Monitor daily prescription reports looking for audit issues.
- Monitory daily prescription reports looking for issues that impact profitability such as wrong DAW or wrong days supply or wrong AWP.
- Perform medication inventory management, including receiving, storing, and monitoring pharmaceutical supplies. Teach other techs how to do the same.
- Monitor inventory levels, monitor inventory purchases, monitor owes and correct issues causing medication to be owed. Teach other techs to do the same.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care and address medication-related inquiries.
- Educate other techs on proper work flow, organization and processes to ensure success of the team.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and policies regarding pharmacy operations.
Requirements
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
- Previous experience as a lead tech or inventory manager.
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to pharmacy practices.
- Strong understanding inventory processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on patient safety and care quality.
