This would be a great opportunity for students, parents, retirees, or anyone looking to supplement their income with part-time work in a rewarding environment. At Tuckered Out, we treat pets like family! We are expanding and are excited to offer private dog walking services in Richmond, VA.
We are looking for candidates who:

- Have a valid driver’s license and a reliable and insured vehicle.
- Have a smartphone with access to the Internet, data plan, and high quality camera, and be willing to download our app.

Preference will be given to candidates who have professional experience in the pet care industry (working at a veterinary hospital, daycare/boarding facility, training facility, or dog walking/pet sitting company).

- Will commit to at least 6 months of working with us and are available year-round.
- Have a good driving record and are able to pass a background check. Employment Offers are contingent on successful completion of a background check.

What we do:
- We are in the peace-of-mind business. We provide reliable care for pet parents who are busy working or are unable to provide daily exercise to their dogs.
- We visit clients’ homes to care for their dogs during the day. This could include taking dogs for walks, letting dogs out in the yard to play, feeding and providing fresh water, providing medications if needed, and of course loving them and providing lots of TLC and belly rubs!
- In an effort to give back to the community, we also work closely with local animal shelters to provide donated walks to the dogs in their care.
- As a dog walker with Tuckered Out, you will drive yourself to these appointments, check in and check out using our mobile app, and write informative updates with pictures to let clients know how their dogs are doing.
Benefits:
- Wage: Starting at $14/hour $0.25/mile tips
- Flexible hours - We schedule visits in 3-hour arrival windows, rather than exact times. Run your errands or go to class in between visits, as long as it works with the scheduled timeframes.
- Work-life balance - Our operating hours are Monday-Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm. No nights, weekends, or holidays. Morning, midday, and afternoon shifts available.

- Growth opportunities - Room to grow with the business and take on more leadership roles.
- Streamlined communication - Manage your whole job and route from your phone.
- Relaxed work environment - Comfy clothes encouraged, no need to dress up!
- With us, you are an employee, not an independent contractor. You are protected by our liability insurance, bonding, and workers’ compensation insurance. We will also provide necessary equipment and fully paid, hands-on training and Pet First Aid/CPR Certification.
