Estimator/Project Manager β Drywall, Commercial Framing & Acoustic Ceilings
Location: Greater Schenectady/Albany, NY

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Estimator/Project Manager will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, managing projects from inception to completion, and ensuring profitability while maintaining high-quality standards. This role requires expertise in commercial drywall, metal framing, and acoustic ceiling systems, along with strong organizational and communication skills.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- $75k-$125k base salary, pending experience.
- Up to 2 performance-based bonuses with the opportunity for growth into ownership in the future

- 4-person leadership team, ~20 employees, and ~5 subcontractors
- Average 8-10 commercial projects a week | 15-20 ongoing ranging from small ~$50k up to ~$1 million
ABBREVIATED RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze bid specifications, drawings, and contracts to prepare accurate and competitive estimates.
- Perform material take-offs and develop labor and material cost estimates.
- Develop project budgets and proposals for clients.
- Use estimating software and tools to streamline the bidding process.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of drywall, framing, and acoustic ceiling projects.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor project costs and budgets to maximize profitability.
- Address and resolve project challenges, such as design conflicts, material shortages, and site conditions.
- Conduct site visits to ensure quality control and compliance with specifications.
- Communicate regularly with clients, contractors, and internal teams regarding project progress.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial drywall, wood/LGMF framing, and acoustic ceiling estimating/project management.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff, Procore or similar tools.
- Experience working with Blueprints and project specifications.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and construction site safety requirements
Salary : $75,000 - $125,000
