Position Overview
Tuckernuck is seeking a Technical Solution Architect with expertise in retail systems and technology integration. In this role, reporting directly to the SVP of Technology, you will be a hands-on leader who shapes and implements our technology roadmap. This position offers the opportunity to leverage your business and technical experience across ERP, PIM, OMS, and POS, influencing platform selections while supporting Tuckernuck’s rapid growth.
Core Responsibilities
- Architect and lead technical design for Ecommerce, Retail POS, Order Management, and Product Information Management, ensuring scalable solutions that align with business objectives.
- Serve as a key technical advisor, effectively communicating complex concepts and making strategic recommendations to business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Drive integration efforts, leveraging best practices in API management and third-party integrations (REST/GraphQL/SOAP) to enable seamless data flow and system interoperability.
- Navigate ambiguity and prioritize tradeoffs, demonstrating a business-oriented approach that balances technical excellence with customer impact.
- Evaluate, select, and implement new technology platforms, contributing to the continuous improvement of Tuckernuck’s technology architecture and operational efficiency.
- Mentor and coach team members, sharing expertise in retail technology solutions and integration patterns to enhance overall team capabilities and project outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related engineering discipline (Master’s preferred)
- 8 years of experience in technical solution architecture, particularly within the retail or e-commerce domain.
- Proven track record of designing and integrating complex systems, including ERP, OMS, PIM, and POS, with a business-focused approach.
- Extensive experience with APIs and third-party integrations, with a deep understanding of integration patterns and data flow management
