General Description
The Communications Director is responsible for the communication of what is happening at Tucson Baptist Church and its ministries. The Comms Director is responsible for capturing events at TBC through pictures and video, keeping social platforms up to date, capturing and creating videos for announcements and special events, editing audio for podcasts, using InDesign for the creation of handouts and special event booklets, and ensuring the integrity of the TBC identity.
Education and Experience
This position is a skilled position that would require experience and knowledge when it comes to social media, content creation, photography, cinematography, and the ability to learn different media avenues. A working knowledge of the Adobe Suite is needed to ensure compatibility with getting this candidate in the workflow of our ministry. Website development and upkeep is not required but would be beneficial.

Primary Job Functions
- Capturing, editing, and cataloging photos and videos of the life of Tucson Baptist Church, Tucson Baptist Preschool, and Tucson Baptist Academy.
- Scripting, shooting, and editing videos for weekly video announcements, missions trip recaps, and special events.
- Creating, editing, and sharing graphics on all social media platforms for the ministry of Tucson Baptist Church and its ministries. This includes Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, etc.
- Updating and maintaining upcoming events on Tucson Baptist Church’s website and social media platforms.
- Creating, cataloging, and editing of various Tucson Baptist Church media archives and assimilating it into one database.
- Editing audio and video of weekly messages for Podcast.
- Ensure ProPresenter is updated with the weekly service schedule and ensure accuracy in grammar, spelling, and content.
- Oversee the design, print, and distribution of special handouts for various special events such as Missions Conference, Yearly Theme, Stewardship Projects, etc.
- Oversee the planning, design, implementation, and upkeep of campus signage under the direction of the Executive Pastor.
- Ensure the TBC identity and brand is maintained with integrity.
- Develop and implement a brand identity and strategy for TBA and TBP.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
