We are currently looking for a dynamic, highly enthusiastic, determined, and well-spoken sales professional to join our team. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for effectively developing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, implementing sales and marketing strategies while maintaining customer satisfaction, and meeting and exceeding forecasted and budgeted revenue goals.
The Sales Manager will work in conjunction with the Director of Sales and Marketing to achieve the hotel's revenue and market share goals for the property.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and continually enhance relationships with key corporate, business and travel industry accounts to maintain and increase our market share.
- Actively identify and solicit new business that fits sales parameters by using a wide variety of means/tools and individual creativity and innovation.
- Prospect and qualify all lead sources through cold calls, tele-prospecting and networking to generate new opportunities.
- Make on-site and field presentations to prospective clients and coordinate follow up.
- Negotiate group and transient business that meets or exceeds hotel revenue goals and ensure that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented.
- Drive strategies to develop long term business relationships and repeat business.
- Maintain accurate, legible records and files to provide group history, ensure future and current quality service and enhance future prospects.
- Understands the overall market (e.g., competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc.) to sell effectively against the competitors.
- Communicate trends, opportunities and market changes to appropriate parties as needed.
- Participate in community and hotel networking events.
- Partner with Operations in providing a customer experience that exceeds expectations.
- Maintain a refreshing attitude focused on positive friendly interactions with guests and staff.
- Develop and maintain strong interdepartmental relationships and open communication lines to assure efficient transfer of information.
- Be familiar with all company policies and benefits.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Associates and/or Bachelor's degree; over three years related hospitality sales experience and/or training.
- Previous Hilton experience or experience at a similar size and quality hotel preferred.
- Previous front office or other hotel operational experience preferred.
- Excellent communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational skills including follow-up, time management, ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Skills for problem-solving, analysis, effective decision-making, negotiation, and interpretation of contracts.
- Knowledge of hotel features, benefits, and competing hotels within the market.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook, Salesforce.
