SUMMARY
Middle School ELD Teacher will effectively manage the learning environment to prepare lesson plans, instruct students, evaluate and monitor students’ performance in order to advance student achievement. Understand and appreciate diversity. Work collaboratively with a team to plan instruction. Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Arizona Elementary Certificate with Middle Grades Language Arts OR English Approved Area
OR
- Arizona Middle Grades Certificate with Middle Grades Language Arts OR English Approved Area
OR
- Arizona Secondary Certificate with Middle Grades Language Arts OR English Approved Area
OR
- Arizona Subject Matter Expert Certificate 6-12 with English Approved Area
- Arizona SEI (Structured English Immersion) Endorsement OR Spanish-Bilingual
- Endorsement OR ESL Endorsement
- Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
- Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
- Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
COMMENTS
- Middle School ELD Teacher ELD pay range $46,400 to $53,900/year

- Effective: 2024 - 2025 SCHOOL YEAR
- LOCATION: Dietz K-8 School - 22nd St & Kolb Area
- FTE : 1.0 - 7.5 hours per day
- Work Calendar: 9.5 month
- Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Probationary Contracts will be issued for any contingent Certifications, Positions that are 0.6 FTE or less, and certified employees within their first three years with the District.
