The online certified teacher effectively manages the learning environment to prepare lesson plans, instruct online students, evaluate and monitor students’ performance in order to advance student achievement. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Arizona Secondary Certificate with Math Approved Area
OR
Arizona Subject Matter Expert Certificate with Math Approved Area
Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Experience teaching in a virtual environment.
Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
COMMENTS
Effective: 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR
Location: Tucson Unified Virtual Academy - Remote
FTE: 1.0 – 7.5 hours per day
Work Calendar: 9.5 month
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Probationary Contracts will be issued for any contingent Certifications, Positions that are 0.6 FTE or less, and certified employees within their first three years with the District.
