Manufacturing Staff Accountant

Must have current manufacturing experience.
Must Understand Product Costing or similar transformation cost.
Must Understand accounting, to be clear AP management is not accounting. Will only interview accountants.
Major Primary Duties:
- Support Accounting functions by providing full cycle accounting and focused reporting
- Perform monthly closing for financial entities
- Preparation of all financial statements
- Perform monthly account analysis and inter-company account reconciliations.
- Assist in compiling information for Federal and State Tax filings and Surveys.
- Assist in compiling information for Internal and External Audits.
- Preparing and booking journal entries.
- Key contact with parent company – fill all questions and requests for information and reports
- Handling filing of surveys from government agencies.
- Ad hoc reports and analysis as necessary to support management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Key Competencies (optional):
- B.A./B.S. in Accounting or an equivalent
- 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong work ethics with an attention to detail.
