Our dedicated team provides a safe and structured environment for clients navigating mental health and substance use challenges. We are currently seeking an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Psych NP) to join our team on an on-call basis, partnering closely with nursing staff to ensure the best medical and psychiatric direction for our clients.
Position Summary:
As the on-call Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner/Medical Director, you will provide clinical oversight and consultation to nursing staff, helping guide the medical and psychiatric care of clients in our program. Your expertise will support timely and appropriate interventions and ensure alignment with individualized treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide psychiatric consultation and oversight to on-site nursing staff during on-call situations
Assess and advise on psychiatric and medical concerns as they arise
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, integrated care
Support medication management and treatment planning
Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with clinical standards
Qualifications:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), with training in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) specialization required.
- Must have licensure from the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN).
- Must be Board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). PMHNP-BC preferred.
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience and regulatory compliance knowledge.
- General knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to behavioral health.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed and recovery-oriented care
- Comfortable with telehealth or remote consultation as needed being on-call
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
Compensation:
- Salary plus benefits for Full-time 100% on call position
- 3 months renewable contract for 100% on call position
- 3 months renewable contract Per Call Flat rate
