WoodMaster Portable Buildings, a Division of Tuff Shed, the industry leader in storage buildings, is currently looking for a Dispatcher (Logistics Router) at our Cobden, IL location. We're looking for motivated and team oriented individuals!

The Dispatcher is based at our Cobden, IL location , and has overall responsibility for efficiently coordinating and optimizing and delivery operations, ensuring timely and accurate shipments, resolving logistical challenges, and maintaining high standards of customer service in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

DUTIES INCLUDE :

• Efficiently plans and schedules deliveries of shed buildings and truck accessories to customers or sales lots, taking into account factors such as delivery windows, geographic locations, and delivery vehicle capacity.
• Optimizes routes to minimize travel time and fuel consumption while meeting delivery expectations.
• Serves as the primary point of contact between drivers, customers, and internal teams, providing timely updates on delivery status and addressing any issues or delays proactively.
• Maintains clear and open communication channels to ensure all stakeholders are well-informed throughout the delivery process.
• Dispatches delivery personnel and vehicles according to the daily schedule, ensuring that each driver has the necessary information, documentation, and resources for successful deliveries.
• Monitors and tracks the real-time progress of deliveries using dispatching software and communicates any deviations from the plan.
• Manages store inventory by appropriately updating ERP systems.
• Quickly identifies and addresses any logistical challenges or unexpected issues that may arise during deliveries, such as traffic delays, route obstacles, or equipment malfunctions.
• Upholds a high standard of customer service by ensuring timely and accurate deliveries, responding promptly to customer inquiries, and resolving delivery-related concerns professionally.
• Ensures all required documentation, including delivery confirmations and customer signatures, is completed and filed appropriately.
• Enforces safety protocols and compliance with traffic laws among delivery personnel.
• Conducts regular safety briefings and training sessions for drivers to promote a culture of safety awareness.
• Collaborates with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure accurate product availability and readiness for delivery.
• Works closely with the logistics team to implement process improvements and enhance overall delivery efficiency.
