Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter - Doors to join our team at Tuff Shed, a leading manufacturer of portable buildings. As a Carpenter - Doors, you will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and ensuring the quality of wooden structures through precise measurement, cutting, and assembly techniques.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Reads and interprets work orders, specifications, and blueprints to understand project requirements.
- Aligns and fits hardware such as locks, handles, and hinges.
- Ensures measurements are accurate for the fitting of the window or door.
- Uses hand and power tools to cut and shape the framework for windows and doors.
- Caulks and seals windows and doors to prevent water and air leaks.
- Inspects and adjusts newly installed doors and windows to ensure they operate properly.
- Adheres to safety protocols and maintains a clean workspace.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Common knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well as a member of the team.
- Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding.
- Ability and willingness to learn & interpret blueprints.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds at least 100 feet.
