Job Description:
As a Vehicle Technician, you will play a critical role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles. You will be responsible for ensuring that all repairs are carried out to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. You will work with a diverse team of professionals in a well-equipped, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostics on vehicles to identify issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Carry out repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and other vehicle systems.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform preventative maintenance.
Replace worn-out or faulty parts and components, ensuring all repairs are completed to manufacturer specifications.
Keep up to date with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients about their vehicle's condition and required repairs.
Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used, following company protocols and safety guidelines.
Work closely with service advisors and other team members to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Formal qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, ASE certification, or equivalent) preferred.
Strong knowledge of automotive systems, repair techniques, and diagnostic tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with a range of vehicle types, including [e.g., cars, vans, trucks, or specialized vehicles].
Familiarity with automotive software systems for diagnostics and vehicle repair.
Knowledge of safety procedures and industry regulations.
