About Us:
Viking Vessel Services is a dynamic small business based in Cisco, TX. We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Administrator to join our team. This is a full-time, in-office role where you will primarily be responsible for bookkeeping and accounting tasks, while also assisting with general office administration and supporting the sales department as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks, including processing accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and reconciliation.
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports for management.
- Assist with payroll processing and tax filings.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Ensure financial records are accurate and up to date.
- Provide administrative support to the sales department and assist with general office tasks as required.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries in a professional manner.
- Manage office supplies and equipment.
- Perform additional administrative duties as needed to ensure smooth office operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, office administrator, or accountant, with experience in QuickBooks.
- QuickBooks certification is preferred.
- A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
