The Opportunity
Packaging General Labor
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties:
- Packaging of various products in a timely and safe manner, maintaining highest quality standard
- Communicate with the Machine Operator or Shift Supervisor on any quality or safety concerns
- Assist Machine Operator in controlling code dates, expiration dates, labels, stickers and any item unique to product specifications
- Assist operator in controlling product quality, contamination, weight control and line efficiency
- Completes general cleaning of production areas during change overs
- Perform all sanitation duties needed at the line
- All other duties as assigned
SAFETY
- Attend safety trainings
- Follow all safety instructions and policies
- Report any injuries or near miss accidents to supervisor
- Report any unsafe acts or conditions to supervisor
- Wear required PPE that is determined by site
ENVIRONMENTAL
- Keep work area clean and free of debris
FOOD SAFETY
- Assist in maintaining all sanitation schedules
- Attend food safety trainings
- Follow all GMPs and food safety instructions
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Self-motivation
- Learning, memorizing and executing a sequence of procedures
- Basic computer skills
PHYSICAL SPECIFICATIONS
- Continuous standing and walking
- Occasional bending, stooping, carrying, lifting, pushing and pulling
- Occasional climbing and reaching above shoulder level
- Occasionally squatting
