Job Summary:
LPN/MA- The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to make quick and accurate decisions, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform initial patient assessments via phone or in person to determine the urgency of health concerns and prioritize care accordingly.
- Document patient symptoms, history, and vital signs, and communicate findings to healthcare providers to assist with diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and clinic staff to manage patient flow and reduce wait times.
- Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with healthcare practices relevant to triage nursing.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid LPN license or MA certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- CPR certification.
