DEPARTMENT: THS Finance
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for being a full charge bookkeeper for the Tulalip Health System including all accounting work associated with processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, monitoring expenditures for budgets and reconciling accounts. Monitors and enters accounting data into systems and staying in compliance with policies and procedures. Maintains spreadsheets of vendor accounts, copies of contracts for payment and patient verifications/eligibility for payment.
COMPENSATION: $30.23hr.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field. * Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE
- Two (2) years of experience working in Direct Accounting or Grant Accounting.
- Two (2) years of experience working with medical/billing terminology.
- Two (2) years of experience working with Explanation of Benefits (E.O.B) and Remittance Advice (R.A.)
- Two (2) years of experience working with Federal Grants and Contracts
- Two (2) years of experience working with medical accounting setting and/or third-party billing, TCHS programs, codes and regulations, Medicaid/Medicare/Private insurances, verifications, insurance denials, reimbursement rules, laws and regulations.
- Two (2) years of experience working with Provider One.
- Two (2) years of experience working in a Rural Health Clinic.
- Two (2) years of experience working in an office environment.
- Two (2) years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office programs.
- Two (2) years of experience in customer service.
- Two (2) years of experience working creating and maintaining efficient filing systems.
