The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Tulane University School of Medicine is seeking applications for two positions in the surgical pathology and transfusion medicine / blood bank , respectively. Duties will include sign-out of pathology cases, and teaching of medical students, residents and fellows. Research activities will include any scholastic activities that pertain to the applicant's clinical and / or academic interests. Service responsibilities will include serving on Departmental and / or University committees when needed. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience. Qualifications
Candidates should have a medical degree (MD or MD / PhD), be board-certified / eligible in AP, CP, or AP / CP with proper subspecialty fellowship training, and be eligible for a Louisiana Medical License. Applicants for surgical pathology with sub-specialties in GU, GI / liver or Gyn pathology will be preferentially considered. Applicants for transfusion medicine should have the knowledge and experience in apheresis and stem cell collection . J-1 visa holders are welcome to apply.
