The Department of Social, Behavioral, and Population Sciences at Tulane University’s Celia Scott Weatherhead School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine invites applications at the rank of clinical-track Assistant Professor. The Department is hiring one full-time faculty to teach online courses, advise and mentor students, and lead and/or develop courses for our Master of Public Health (MPH) and Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) programs. This is a non-tenure track position renewable annually. We seek professors with outstanding teaching experience to teach a wide array of classes online. Areas of particular interest include expertise in one or more of the following areas: social and behavioral theory and methods (e.g., qualitative, quantitative, community-based participatory), social determinants of health, health equity, program planning, monitoring and evaluation, and social innovation and design thinking. Additionally, the successful applicant will contribute to the equity-oriented educational mission of the department by leveraging innovative methods to lead courses and mentor and advise graduate students. Preference will be given to an accomplished teacher with innovative teaching methods, a demonstrated commitment to students, and a record of excellent teaching evaluations.
