The office of the Chief Strategy Officer focuses on business operations crucial to the ongoing functions of the SoM, including : Research Business Development, SoM-wide Communications and Marketing, Clinical Service Line Marketing, Special Projects, and Crisis Management as needed by the Senior VP and Dean, SoM. Project Management Specialist works in partnership with staff members of the Office of the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) to ensure smooth operation of all project management, administrative, operational and financial aspects of the business development, communications and marketing activities for the School of Medicine. Job may require occasional travel, up to approximately 5% of time.
The Project Management Specialist will oversee the daily administrative operations of the Office of the CSO, which include but are not limited to : project management documentation, oversight and prioritization; CSO office administration, reimbursements, finances, and budgeting; coordination, planning & organization of meetings, seminars and events; assisting in databases with strategy and integrity; and assistance in social media and other communications areas.
Also oversees all financial aspects of the CBO's small portfolio of sponsored research projects, which include but are not limited to : preparing non-technical aspects of research proposals; developing and monitoring subcontracts; preparing and forecasting budgets; preparing quarterly narrative reports; tracking billing and collections; and reconciling accounts.
- Ability to use various software programs (such Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PartneringOne, JuJu Ma, Bio One-to-One, Wellspring Sophia, Social Media platforms.)

- Work in academic, non-profit or corporate scientific settings (University, Research Institute, Company, VC Firm, Foundation)
- Project Management Experience
