Academic and Student Success AdvisorSPHTM Student ExperienceLocation : New Orleans, LA SummaryThe Academic and Student Success Advisor supports and guides SPHTM online and residential graduate students from admission confirmation through matriculation with the goal of supporting students’ academic goals and increasing institutional persistence and retention rates. The Academic and Student Success Advisor achieves defined objectives by implementing and maintaining services in compliance with established guidelines; proactively fostering effective relationships and individualized mentorships to help students achieve their potential; and serving as a member of the Academic and Student Success team. The Academic and Student Success Advisor maintains regular contact with students, using multiple communication platforms, such as phone, email, instant messaging, and Zoom meetings. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1 year of directly related experience, preferably in a higher education institution providing student support services Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Public Health, Higher Education Administration, or other social science.
- Knowledge of graduate students and graduate student experience.
- Professional experience with problem solving and conflict resolution.
