Summary
The Associate Director for Student-Athlete Enhancement helps oversee the holistic personal, professional, and leadership development of Tulane University student-athletes by providing a comprehensive education through the W.AV.E. Student-Athlete Enhancement Program. This position has primary oversight of the professional and career development portion of the W.A.V.E. Student-Athlete Enhancement Program. This position builds a rapport working collaboratively with the Associate Athletic Director of Student-Athlete Enhancement, student-athletes, teams, coaches, athletic administrators, and campus/community partners. The Associate Director serves as the co-advisor to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Ensures that all Department of Athletics and University related activities operate in full compliance with university, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations. Attends and participates in scheduled compliance seminars and complies with all the Athletic Department’s efforts to monitor compliance with NCAA regulations. Seeks interpretations from the compliance staff before acting when necessary. Reports potential rules violations immediately. Completes required compliance paperwork in a timely and efficient manner. Monitors all of their areas and/or programs activities closely to maintain compliance with applicable rules and regulations.

- Working knowledge of standard computer software such as Office Suite, email, etc., and ability to learn and utilize specific software necessary for career advising practice; Salesforce and Canvas.
- Working knowledge of best social media practices and use of Canva.
- Ability and desire for continuous improvement and learning of leadership and career advising best practices.
- Ability to implement leadership and career development practices.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Ability to organize, plan, and facilitate small and large group programming.

Required Education And/or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1 year of student-athlete enhancement/career development experience at an NCAA Division I institution
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 7 years of student-athlete enhancement/career development experience at an NCAA Division I institution
- Master’s Degree
- 3 years of student-athlete enhancement/career development experience at an NCAA Division I institution
