What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bias Response Program Manager position at Tulane University?
Serves as the principal institutional official responsible for the administration of policies, procedures, data collection, and reporting for bias response incidents. This position is responsible for program development in support of community outreach and bias education. Works collaboratively with various offices at the university to continuously engage the campus community members in education, dialogue, and awareness around bias. Provides university-wide oversight, direction, training, and reporting.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Working knowledge of bias prevention programming or training and education.
- Ability to apply communication skills including writing, editing, speaking/facilitating and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Effective problem solving, critical analysis, initiative, judgement, and decision-making skills
- Intermediate to advance user of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to organize and interpret data and records on EDI and anti-racism issues.
- Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion, tact, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work with a wide diversity of university and local stakeholders (internal and external).
- Ability to work independently as well as under direction.
- Ability to assess a program and develop a programming.
- Ability to convene work groups to achieve short-term and long-term goals, as well as support university and campus unit-level EDI and anti-racism initiatives.

Required Education and/or Experience
AND
- Six (6) years of experience in procedural or policy administration, data analysis and reporting, or other equivalent training in Communications, public relations, or corporate communications including web writing best practices. Experience must include program management experience involving the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, and practices.
