Summary
The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) will coordinate multiple projects that are on-going in the Bogalusa Heart Study (BHS) Clinic located primarily in Bogalusa, Louisiana. This individual will work with the Principal Investigator(s) to coordinate the conduct of studies between the filed site in Bogalusa and the central administration of the study in New Orleans. Therefore, regular travel between Bogalusa and New Orleans will be a requirement. In addition, the CRC will coordinate meetings of the BHS Steering Committee, other BHS investigators, collaborators from other universities, and take minutes. The CRC will provide recruitment reports, enrollment reports, and other study reports to the investigators to monitor the conduct of the study. They will be responsible for developing and maintaining documentation and update of protocols and manuals of operation, and regulatory documentation as needed for the on-going studies.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Proficient verbal and written skills; comfortable in academic, community, and healthcare settings
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Ability to manage data collection activities with attention to detail and protocols.
- Must have a valid and unrestricted (not including corrective lens needs) U.S. Driver’s license and must meet the Tulane University Motor Vehicle Policy criteria to become authorized as a driver.
- Bachelor’s degree or RN with current LA licensure at the time of hire
- Two years professional clinical research work experience, or in lieu of that and advanced degree such as Masters degree in Clinical Research, Clinical Investigation, Public Health or related field.
- Experience with research coordination and teams
- Applied IRB experience and experience working with clinical and community partners when doing research
- Competent with technology (MS Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint; Outlook; Zoom)
- Ability to do literature review and conduct basic statistical analysis
- Familiarity with database software and programming (REDCap; SQL; others)
