Summary
The Executive Director, Advancement Information Services, is a key leadership role within the University’s Advancement division. This position is responsible for overseeing the strategic management and operational execution of all advancement information services, including database management and reporting, gift accounting, alumni / donor records management, and analytics. The Executive Director will provide visionary leadership in the development and maintenance of a robust infrastructure to support the university’s fundraising, alumni engagement, and donor stewardship goals. The role ensures the integrity, security, and optimization of all advancement-related data and technologies. A key responsibility is the oversight and leadership of the implementation and transition to a new Salesforce CRM system, including finalization of the initial phase and completion of subsequent phases for go-live and ongoing adoption. The Executive Director is a strong leader and manager with responsibility for managing a staff of 25 employees.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team, delegate tasks, and drive results.
- Ability to evaluate complex issues, identify appropriate solutions, costs, and required resources.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently and evaluate complex issues, providing leadership in implementing the chosen approach.
- Technical experience in areas such as information and data delivery, data and solution architecture, web programming and application development, relational databases, systems management; demonstrated ability to quickly learn and assimilate new systems and information.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
