What are the responsibilities and job description for the Postdoctoral Research Fellow position at Tulane University?
Description
Tulane University, School of Medicine Physiology Department in New Orleans, Louisiana is welcoming a Postdoctoral Fellow who will be responsible for studying the means by which neurons control mitochondria to support the energy requirements of neurotransmission, and the mechanisms which fail when mitochondria become involved in neuropathologies. Specifically, the candidate will be responsible for using cells in culture to screen for genes that are candidates for controlling mitochondrial association with the plasma membrane, and to screen for microbial isolates that target mitochondrial function.
