The Program Manager II for Academic Affairs provides advanced program management to six academic programs within the School of Professional Advancement (SoPA). Tulane SoPA is focused on growing the scope and scale of these six academic programs. The Program Manager II works with the Program Directors to help build and maintain capacity for partner and stakeholder engagement and relationships. This position leads the logistics of student experiential learning opportunities. This position leads and executes internal and external academic program events. The Program Manager II tracks and maintains program-level expense budgets. The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to be successful working with students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders. This position requires a high initiative, attention to detail, aptitude in assigning priorities, and passion for learning and developing systems and processes in order to ensure high team functioning and program success.
The Program Manager II works closely with Program Directors to coordinate and schedule daily activities and events with students, and internal and external stakeholders. This position collaborates with the Executive Assistant to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs to create and maintain documents, databases, and other materials related to academic programs. This position communicates and coordinates information for the academic program directors, assist with student records, reports, and academic forms. The academic programs of responsibility include Media and Design, Business and Leadership Studies, General Legal Studies Program, Emergency and Security Studies, Humanities and Social Sciences, Information Technology, and Kinesiology.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Ability to manage priorities, projects, and tasks from multiple academic programs.
- Ability to lead and execute program-level events and student experiential learning opportunities.
- Ability to manage expense budgets and reconciliations.
- Ability to manage tasks and multiple projects simultaneously from start to finish, generating viable new approaches and solutions when appropriate.
- Anticipate, monitor and meet the needs of stakeholders (program directors and administrators) and plan for/responding to/collaborating with them in an appropriate manner.
- Ability to schedule and coordinate meetings both online, in-person and/or hybrid.
- Strong written and verbal communication, communicating with clarity, precision and ease.
- Deadline driven, detail-orientated project manager who approaches situations and issues proactively.
- Exhibits professionalism and courtesy in all interactions.
- Strong experience in Microsoft Office suite, particularly with Excel and Word.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
- High School Diploma (or Equivalent) with 7 years of relevant experience.
- Experience managing higher education academic programs and working with enterprise higher education systems including but not limited to the following or their equivalent systems: Banner, Slate, Concur, and Courseleaf Curriculum Information Management (CIM).
- Understanding of databases to record and organize information, including project management tools.
- Research and grant writing experience.
