Summary
The Senior Executive Secretary provides comprehensive administrative support to the Chair and other faculty as needed. The duties include but are not limited to maintaining schedules and special event calendars, as well as travel and itineraries for faculty and visiting professors. Responsibilities also include responding to office calls, organizing travel arrangements; processing reimbursements, departmental work orders, and supplies requests; assisting with preparing correspondence, PowerPoint presentations, and manuscripts; completing faculty references; and coordinating credentialing and faculty appointments.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Selected candidates must complete and pass a background check and an occupational health screening as a condition of employment. For identified jobs, a drug screening will also be required. The background investigation, required occupational health screening, and any required drug screening will be conducted after a conditional employment offer has been extended.

- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively and courteously with individuals of varied cultures and levels both inside and outside the University
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters
- Experience with complex calendar management.
- Knowledge and experience with a variety of office machines (computers, copiers, etc.).
- Knowledge and experience in various PC and Mac programs (spreadsheets, databases, word processing).

Required Education And/or Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Five years executive-level secretarial experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Previous work experience in an academic office.
