Summary
As a critical member of the Human Resources and Institutional Equity, Student Employment team, the Student Employment Coordinator provides high quality customer service to all constituents while performing a variety of complex administrative duties. The primary duties include processing new hire assignments for students, assisting departments with hiring processes, and coordinating and overseeing the I-9 E-Verification Process. Coordinates, facilitates, reviews and updates content of the New Student Employee Orientation program, provides Handshake Employer support, and Student Hiring Manager training.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with individuals at all levels within the organization, both internal and external to Human Resources.
- Excellent public speaking and group facilitation skills.
- Excellent computer skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel software applications.
- Ability to work independently in the performance of assigned tasks and responsibilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all work performed.
- Ability to serve as a positive, contributing member of the Human Resources Student Employment team.
- Ability to prioritize and remain flexible in the performance of assigned tasks and responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s degree and one year clerical/office administrative experience
- Or
- High School Diploma/Equivalent and two years’ administrative office experience
- Human Resources experience.
- Work experience in a higher education setting.
- Training or teaching experience.
