Job Summary
The primary goal of this role is to support our mission by delivering exceptional service to internal and external members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding service to both internal and external members in alignment with our Service Promises
- Meet or exceed all service and sales expectations
- Maintain adequate product knowledge as measured by annual certification assessments
- Process transactions, data entry, and records accurately and thoroughly
- Control and maintain cash and consignments within established limits
- Balance daily transactions with precision
- Screen potential members for eligibility
- Maintain member confidentiality and security procedures
- Greet members, direct them to personnel, and promote prompt service
- Ensure a professional appearance of lobby and reception areas
- Distribute and review applications for completeness
- Receive and review loan applications for consumer loans and second mortgages/HELOCs
- Approve share and certificate loans within established limits
- Contribute to process improvement
- Review documents with applicants and disburse loans
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- Assist when needed despite prior instructions
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures and techniques
- Familiarity with Credit Union products and services
- Proficiency with office equipment such as typewriters, calculators, CRTs, PCs, fax machines, etc.
- Cross-selling skills and verbal communication abilities
- Establishing effective working relationships with coworkers and members
Requirements:
A combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma, plus one year of cash handling and customer service or retail sales experience with public contact.
