In order to support current and future emergencies, our Tulare County Health & Human Services Agency (HHSA) is currently accepting registration for volunteers interested in assisting government staff with emergency response at sites throughout Tulare County. We offer flexible schedules. If you are looking to obtain experience and are motivated to support this great cause, you are encouraged to apply.
When you participate as a volunteer, we will provide you with the necessary hands-on training to ensure your success and a positive experience.
Typical Duties
General support volunteers are able to assist in support roles such as:
- Greeter and registration
- Computer data entry
- Answer questions from the public and distribute educational pamphlets
- Redirect traffic and traffic flow monitor
- Assemble pet cages or crates as needed.
- Assist in cleaning dog and cat cages.
- Assist with animal intake - filling out forms and filing them in the correct binders.
- Keep track of the pet owners who take their pets out.
Minimum Qualifications
To be eligible for the General Support volunteer role, you must:
- Be 18 years of age or over
- Be eligible to work in the United States
- Have a valid ID and Social Security Number
