What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal position at Tullos Beckett?
Our firm is currently seeking a paralegal. Business hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, and Fridays 8:00am to 3:00pm. We have a separate part-time receptionist managing phone responsibilities; the paralegal position is oriented toward drafting and client-management.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting multiple attorneys and cases with litigation and non-litigation tasks
- Drafting of pleadings, judgments, declarations, and court filings at attorney direction
- Organizing, redacting, and preparing discovery
- Calendering and email management, providing court notices to clients
Required Qualifications:
- Exceptional communication skills ensuring information is effectively conveyed
- Experience with state court rules and electronic filing
- Strong initiative, ability to self-manage, and handle multiple tasks
- Ability to work professionally and collaboratively with coworkers
- Fluent in law practice CRM, Office suite, and Adobe Acrobat software
Compensation:
- $25 /hr, DOE
- 100% of employee cost for health insurance covered under firm’s Providence group plan (Silver or HSA Choice) for FT
