The Director of Learning & Development is a strategic leader responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all training and development programs within the firm. This role ensures that all employees are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively and efficiently to contribute to the firm’s goals each year. The Director of Learning & Development is responsible for providing training on firm operating systems in addition to creating and implementing training programs that enhance employee performance, foster a culture of continuous learning, and align with the company’s strategic objectives. Training will include new hire onboarding and in addition will review skills gap analyses by working with firm managers to identify training needs in their department, teams and individuals. This individual will plan training programs based on business goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. The Director of Learning & Development will report directly to the Chief Administrative Officer and work closely with the management team.

Salary: The salary offered will be based on the length and relevance of the candidate's work history and the skills developed through their professional experiences. The firm is open to candidates with less than 5 years of experience at the salary range of $60,000-$70,000 per year. For candidates with 5 or more years of experience will qualify in the of $70,000-$80,000 per year.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive training strategy aligned with the firm’s goals and objectives. Develop and oversee new hire onboarding and continuous in service firmwide training in addition to monthly departmental training initiatives.
- Take a hands-on approach with baseline firm systems and provide new hires with overviews and remedial training on firm systems that enable newly hired Attorneys and staff to hit the ground running in a short per of time.
- Collaborate closely with Managing Partners and practice heads to identify and develop training needs. Design relevant and engaging training curriculums that will further the knowledge of firm Attorneys utilizing talent inside and outside of the firm.
- Work to develop the firm’s CLE curriculum working closely with the firm’s marketing team.
- Work with Support Staff managers to develop timely and relevant in service firmwide training topics.
- Embrace firm technology and relay concepts and advice to team members that will increase efficiency and productivity.
- Establish a knowledge management system for current and future employees. Work with Practice heads to establish and improve firm brief banks and practice area templates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field
- 2-10 years of experience in training and professional development. Legal or professional services experience is preferred.
- Experience executing, developing and implementing training programs.
