What are the responsibilities and job description for the Education Law Attorney position at Tully Rinckey?
Tully Rinckey PLLC, a full service law firm with offices across New York State, DC, Texas & California are speaking with attorneys that specialize in Education Law for their Syracuse, NY office.
The ideal attorney will have experience representing parents and students in implementing special education accommodations and supports for children of all ages, including but not limited to demanding evaluations and developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act plans (504 plans) that incorporate Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans, as well as commencing and litigating Due Process proceedings. Preferred experience should include representing students in Dignity of All Students Act (DASA) investigations, disciplinary matters, including Superintendent Hearings, and appeals before County and State agencies.
Compensation
Associate Level – $110,000.00 - $125,000.00
Partner Level – $125,000.00 - $160,000.00
Compensation is based on experience. Lateral Partners will be rewarded for origination and/or portable business. Sole practitioner candidates with a background in Education Law are highly encouraged to apply.

After eighteen (18) months of full-time employment, attorneys will earn over six (6) weeks of paid time off.
