Tully Rinckey PLLC, a successful full-service law firm with offices throughout the country is seeking Partner Level and Associate Level attorneys to grow our Buffalo, New York office. Tully Rinckey PLLC is a nationally recognized law firm known for its rapid growth, consistently earning a spot on the INC5000 list of America’s fastest-growing companies. Recently, the firm made significant changes to employee compensation and benefits packages. Starting January 1, 2025, the base compensation for all first-year Attorneys has been increased to $110,000 per year, and higher starting base compensation for experienced attorneys with higher compensation being offered to Attorneys with experience and/or portable books. In addition, the firm will offer no-cost health insurance for basic plans, free dental and vision coverage, and a 6% matching contribution for 401(k) plans at 100%. After eighteen (18) months of full-time employment, attorneys will earn over six (6) weeks of paid time off. Job Description Overview
As a Labor and Employment Attorney at Tully Rinckey, you will be responsible for providing quality legal advice, representing clients in disputes, and managing a wide range of labor and employment matters. The ideal candidate will have an interest or direct experience in representing individuals in employment-related claims against the federal government and New York private employment matters.
· Provide legal representation to clients in labor disputes, employment discrimination cases, wage and hour claims, and other employment-related matters.
· Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, policies, and procedures.
· Drafting pleadings, including motions, discovery requests and responses, and other substantive filings.
· Conduct legal research and analysis to prepare for litigation and arbitration.
· Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, conferences, depositions, administrative hearings, and court proceedings.
· Develop strategies to minimize risk and efficiently resolve disputes.
· Stay updated with changes in labor and employment law and advise clients accordingly.
Requirements:
· Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
· Licensed to practice law in at least one US State Jurisdiction (preferably New York) in good standing.
· Interest or direct experience in representing individuals in employment-related claims against the federal government.
· Understanding of state employment statutes, codes, and regulations.
· Litigation, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
· Dedication to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethics.
Candidates must be admitted to practice law with their license in good standing.
