Join the team at the Hardesty Regional Library! The Children's team is dedicated to creating connections and strengthening their neighborhood community in Tulsa and beyond. The Customer Service Assistant is accommodating and adaptable throughout the workday, in the type and location of work to be accomplished in order to provide a superior customer experience in our Children's Department.
A selection of essential qualifications and functions are as follows :
- Provides general information in person and by phone assisting customers by providing information about the library, referring reference questions to the appropriate resource;
- Assists customers with self check-out machines by instructing how to charge, renew, and discharge library materials to / from customers;
- Registers customers by issuing and updating library cards;
- Sorts and routes returned materials to proper location and ensures that the library is neat and organized so customers can easily find what they need;
- May assist with the operation of A / V equipment for library performancesin Connor's Cove theater, including basic soundboard operation, projector setup and lighting settings.
- May assist with the maintenance of the Build-A-Reader toy collection including cleaning, inventory.

Salary : $14.42 / hr.
Status : Part Time - 20 hours / week
Work Schedule : Monday 9 am - 1 pm
Tuesday 4 pm - 9 pm
Saturday 9 am - 5 pm
Sunday 1 pm - 5 pm
Physical and Environmental Conditions :
Work occasionally requires stooping and bending. Occasional light lifting such as three or four reams of paper, four or five books, or other materials (up to 20 pounds) may be required.
There are usually no major sources of discomfort; work is essentially conducted in a normal office environment with acceptable lighting, temperature, and air conditions.
Some positions require considerable physical exertion, such as regularly lifting heavy items (up to 80 pounds) such as carts or crates full of books, on a highly frequent basis and / or assuming awkward positions.
