What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Professor - EMT/Paramedic position at Tulsa Community College?
- Job Summary
This position is responsible for providing classroom instruction for students enrolled in the EMT program beginning Fall 2025.
Instruction may include basic Paramedic topics in accordance with state and national standards.
Assignments may include theory courses, skills laboratory supervision and instruction, and/or community based field learning assignments as determined by the EMT program director.
This is a Safety Sensitive position pursuant to Oklahoma Statute OKLA. STAT. tit. 63, * 427.8 (2020).- Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Emergency Medical Services, Emergency Management, or other related field of study.
Must have and maintain State of Oklahoma Licensure.
Must be an AEMT (Advanced Emergency Medical Technician) or NREMT-P (National Registry Emergency Medical Technician- Paramedic).- Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge concerning national curricula, national accreditation, national registration, and the requirements for state and national certification and/or licensure in Oklahoma and NREMT.
A team leader in a career field responsible for inspections and documentations for accreditation.
Knowledge of all levels of EMT.
Knowledge of educational principles and instructional design for adult learners.
