What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphic Design Assistant position at Tulsa Drillers?
The Tulsa Drillers are the Double-A Affiliate of the 2024 World Series Champions- the Los Angeles Dodgers! The Drillers play in a state of the art downtown stadium, ONEOK Field, and were named the Texas League Organization of the Year in 2013, 2014, 2017 & 2020 while also being named the Bob Freitas Double-A Organization of the Year in 2013 and 2019. In 2018, the Drillers won the Texas League Championship.
Think you've got the creative eye? The Tulsa Drillers are seeking a Graphic Design Intern for the 2025 season! This 7-month, entry-level position works directly with the Marketing and Communications Departments to visually convey the voice of the Drillers, plan and execute marketing strategy, and create stand-out graphics for print and digital media. In this role you will develop your skills as a professional in sports, work with a team to create consistent, meaningful content, and learn how to reflect branding across various mediums.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Work alongside the Creative Services Manager in implementing design strategy in stadium, on social media, and across advertising platforms.
• Perform design needs following approved templates, follow brand guidelines, and properly manage assets from the Creative Team in graphics and video.
• Balance content from players to sales, community engagement, and more in the style of the Drillers.
• Stay up to date on trends, local and league/nation wide discourse, and show initiative of your own. Stay a step ahead of the game!
• Anticipate needs and communicate with the Creative Team & Communications Dept. to have them fulfilled. This includes player accomplishments and moves, Drillers promotions and themes, etc.
Desired Qualifications:
• Passion for baseball and general knowledge of the sport.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, basic photography and videography. Motion design experience a huge plus!
• Experience in marketing: copywrite skills, creativity, an eye for detail, and brand identity utilization.
• The ability to self-initiate, multi-task, maintain pace, and pivot when needed.
• Communication, customer service and teamwork skills.
• Above all positivity and the willingness to lead, grow and learn alongside your team.

• An accessible link to your portfolio- design, photo and/or video.
Time Frame: March 3, 2025 - September 26, 2025
Compensation: $450 per week for all hours worked up to 40 hours. Your hourly rate for this position is $11.25 per hour. You will receive an additional 0.5 times (or additional “half time”) rate for each hour worked beyond 40 in the workweek as defined under the fluctuating workweek criteria in the Fair Labor Standards Act. For any weeks you work under 40 hours, we will always pay you 40 hours under the criteria.
Hours: 8:30am – 5pm on non-game days & 10am - approx. 10pm on Game Days.
