As the Clinical Nurse Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, organizing, leading, and providing preventive services and activities to ensure equitable access in the community utilizing the THD mobile unit and the Oklahoma Caring Van. This person is responsible for providing supervision of clinical activities and consultation, assessing employee performance and supporting their professional growth, providing clinical direction and coordination, as well as providing nursing services and referrals in the community.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Coordinates efforts to leverage community partnerships to provide equitable access to preventive health services, education, and referrals.
- Identifies, analyzes, and evaluates data and community demographic reports to make data-driven recommendations to identify opportunities to impact health disparities, ensure equitable access to services and improve outcomes.
- Utilizes data to prepare reports of THD mobile unit activities, including both process reports and outcome results.
- Coordinates community requests to provide preventive health services and referrals in community settings and events.
- Maintain schedule for THD Mobile Unit to increase utilization and access.
- Provides and receives professional coaching through regular individual staff meetings and quality assurance activities.
- Reviews daily activities of the staff to meet program objectives, establishes individual performance goals, and supervises staff performance.
- Evaluates, coordinates, and communicates staffing needs and scheduling with Manager and / or Associate Director.
- Coordinates staff schedules, PTO requests and approves accurate submission of monthly time reports.
- Provides consultation and feedback to individual staff to assist in developing interventions to meet the needs of the clients and ensure program and agency performance standards are achieved and maintained.
- Performs the Performance Management Process for all direct reports and assists in setting employee and program goals.
- Provides clinical preventive health services to patients per established Program Guidelines and the Physician Approved Protocols.
- Conducts and coordinates regular chart audits / documentation in compliance with program requirements for Quality Assurance.
- Maintains accurate program Inventory and follows quality assurance protocol for safe handling and storage of biologicals. Communicates non-routine clinic supply needs to Manager and / or Division Chief.
- Facilitates client accessing and using other areas with the Tulsa City-County Health Department, other community agencies, physicians, and human services they may need, and follows up on referrals.
- Ensures clinic and staff are compliant with infection control practices. Orient staff to agency policies and programs to ensure compliance with protocol.
- Interviews applicants for open positions. Makes employment and termination recommendations to Manager and / or Associate Director
- Provides orientation to new employees and existing employees with necessary staff training and development.
- Coordinates scheduling for the mentoring and preceptorship of nursing students, Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, and Medical Residents.
- Participates in educational opportunities related to job and updates other staff on information obtained.
- May attend meetings in the absence of the Manager; and provides input to the manager in preparation of program.
- Completes required training in support of duties and responsibilities of this position.
- Other duties as assigned including those required to fulfill activities in support of public health emergency operations.
Typical Qualifications
Education : Baccalaureate degree in nursing required.
Experience : Two to three years of public health nursing experience with supervisory or consultant responsibilities or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS :
Potential exposure to communicable disease, contaminated blood, and other body fluids during the course specimen collection for laboratory analysis. High volume and fast paced clinic possible. Ability to adapt to changing environments. Environmental conditions will fluctuate as this position has activities that occur inside and outside. Individual will be exposed to extreme weather conditions including heat (above 100 degrees) and cold (below 32 degrees). Flexible work schedule required; community events may include occasional evening or Saturday times.

FLSA Status : Exempt
