What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Electrical Inspector (Lebanon, Ohio area) position at Tulsa Inspection Resources?
GENERAL SUMMARY
Rely on expertise, knowledge, and technical qualifications to interpret written industry and customer standards, specifications, regulations, and site restrictions. Recommend or initiate direct actions required to meet and comply with all requirements. Identify issues related to the progress and quality of work performed by others and make decisions and recommendations required to satisfactorily address situations that involve staff of customers, contractors, and company employees both on and off the right-of-way.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain company’s quality control standards.
- Understand and enforce company’s contract specifications.
- Continually communicate with the contractor representatives to ensure work is being performed as required by NEC and local code.
- Evaluate and approve that electrical work is performed by NEC, state, county, and city code.
- Advise Chief Inspector of all decisions, problems, and possible alternatives.
- Notify Chief Inspector of any environmental problems.
- Prepare report(s) for assigned activities forward to the Chief Inspector for review.
- Provide recommendations to contractor, will not direct work of contractor.
- All recommendations outside of SOW shall be approved by client.
- Identify all Safety hazards during construction activities.
- Advise the Chief Inspector when extra work is required by contractor.
- Provide guidance to the Quality Control staff concerning any electrical problems.
- Adhere to and enforce safety policies.
