A Tulsa Lifeguard Pro Lifeguard is more than an hourly summer employee. A Tulsa Lifeguard
Pro Lifeguard is an integral part of a safe and enjoyable summer swimming pool experience for adults and children alike.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Proactively survey the facilities to prevent aquatic injuries, accidents, and drownings
- Supervise the safety in and around the pool
- Evaluate water conditions at aquatics facilities to determine any potential dangers or hazards
- Enforce pool rules and expectations
- Adhere to and enforce on-site protocols, operational procedures, and safety policies
- Communicate with patrons
- Inspect pool facilities, equipment, and water to ensure that they are safe and usable
- Attend regular lifeguard meetings and in-service trainings
- Prepare and submit activity and incident reports as needed
- Administer First Aid and/or CPR as needed
- Rescue swimmers in distress or in danger of drowning, if necessary
- Initiate the EAP (Emergency Action Plan), if necessary
Qualifications
- Current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification OR is able to attend an upcoming lifeguard course (https://www.tulsalifeguardpro.com/lifeguard-certification-tulsa), certification course cost $107.50
- Demonstrated ability to follow routine verbal and written directions
- Ability to reach, pull, and push 50 lbs
- At least 15 years of age
*training available through Tulsa Lifeguard Pro if applicant is not already certified

Job Type: part-time, seasonal
Job Pay: varies depending on experience; approx $8-$15 per hour
